Hela Gewürzwerk Hermann Laue started in 1905 by Hermann Laue as a casings and spice business in the heart of Hamburg. The development of mixed spices, agents for meat processing, portioned packs of spices and the introduction of the first spicy ketchup into the German market are just some of the pillars on which the success of the company was founded.
Today, 100 years later at its present location in Ahrensburg, it is still run by the Laue family who over the years developed a name that is recognized internationally in food and beverage. Production locations on almost every continent and a worldwide network of sales partners allow for quick reaction directly and flexibly. Only in this way is it possible to realize different individual requirements when it comes to market-specific developments or the realization and maintenance of a globally defined quality and taste standard without forgoing tradition. All this is because “we think globally and act locally”.
Hermann Laue (Pte) Ltd, Singapore was established in 1980, as a wholly owned company of Hela Gewürzwerk Hermann Laue GmbH & Co. The company was renamed Hela Spice Singapore Pte Ltd on 31 March 2010, in a move to establish a global identity by standardizing the names of all Hela companies.
